 WheelPick Scheme is a Windows palette design app that helps you move from “I need colors” to a practical palette quickly.

Choose a mood, color relation, and color count. Generate again, lock the colors you want to keep, and fine-tune the rest.

EXPERT / EXPERT LAB

Control harmony, lightness, chroma, generation limits, and reproducible palette seeds.

CREATE WITH AI — OPTIONAL MCP CONNECTION

WheelPick Scheme does not include or run an AI model. Its normal palette tools work locally and can be used offline.

For people who want to create colors together with AI, the app includes an optional local MCP server, wheelpick-mcp.exe. MCP acts as a bridge that lets Codex use WheelPick Scheme’s palette tools.

With it, Codex can generate palettes, calculate contrast ratios, read your current palette, and list your saved palettes. Node.js is not required. The connection is set up only when you choose “Connect to Codex” in Settings, and using it requires a ChatGPT account.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Windows 11 64-bit is tested. Windows 10 64-bit is currently untested. macOS, Linux, and 32-bit Windows are not supported.

This version is not code-signed, so Windows may display a security warning during installation.

LICENSE

One purchase is for one person. The purchaser may install the app on multiple PCs they personally use or manage. Commercial use of palettes and exported results is allowed. Redistribution of the app, installer, or wheelpick-mcp.exe is prohibited.

Version 0.1.0 is an early release and does not include automatic updates.
